Mr. Tsialogiannis is presently an orthopaedic consultant in Ashford and St Peter’s Hospitals (ASPH), in Surrey UK, after a successful 15+ years career in the Greek Army, as a medical officer, holding the rank of Major. He is a uniquely qualified surgeon with two officially recognized post graduate fellowships in centres of excellence across the world.
He successfully completed a one-year lower limb reconstruction fellowship (officially recognised by Royal College of Surgeons) in Ashford and St Peter’s Trust, focusing on hip and knee replacement and soft tissue injuries in young adults.
Mr. Tsialogiannis spent one year at the world renown Sunnybrook Science Centre, in Toronto, the largest arthroplasty venue in Canada. At Sunnybrook, he was under the tutelage of world-leading experts, Dr. Hugh Cameron, Dr. John Cameron and Dr. Jeff Gollish. He participated in numerous primary, complex and revision hip, knee replacements and corrective realignment osteotomies in young patients with knee osteoarthritis. His research was focused in novel FAST TRACK techniques in adult reconstruction, day case hip replacements, specific intra operative pain protocols, improving the post-operative quality of the patients.
Mr. Tsialogiannis obtained his medical degree at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki Medical School in Greece. He graduated from the Hellenic Military Academy of Combat Support Officers in 2002. Dedication and self-discipline have always been his attributes having been further reinforced by his military training. He worked for 8 years as a military consultant in 401 General Army Hospital, a Level I trauma centre with special interest in complex trauma and gunshot injuries, receiving recognitions for his technical skills.
He was awarded the Military Merit Medal. He was knighted into the Order of the Phoenix, receiving the Golden Cross and in 2004, he was decorated with the United Nations Metal Award, for serving in the UN’s peace keeping mission under the NATO command in Yugoslavia.
Mr.Tsialogiannis practices privately in Surrey and Central London.
